WEST NUSA TENGGARA
Known as Nusa Tenggara Barat or NTB is part of the island chain originally called the Lesser Sunda Islands and refers to the islands directly to the east of Bali. Located slightly south of the equator. NTB is comprised of two main island : Lombok and Sumbawa, as well as hundreds of smaller islands and coral atolls in the surrounding waters. The NTB region offers a fascinating variety of landscapes, places of interest and various activities for the tourist. Tropical islands and coastlines lined with pristine beaches, fabulous waters for swimming, sunbathing, sailing, surfing and underwater activities await travelers to the area.
Lombok
has a chain of volcanic mountains in the north, providing majestic scenery and lush agricultural lands on its slopes. The highest peak, Mt Rinjani, towers 3.726m above sea level. The surrounding countryside and its internationally recognized as a world-class destination for trekking and mountain climbing. Around the slopes of Rinjani are forests and agricultural areas, sprinkled with waterfall and surrounded by stunning scenery. In other parts of the island, terraced rice, natural jungle and age-old forest thrive in the rice volcanic soil.

Small Islands
Known locally as “gili” surround Lombok and provide endless opportunities for diving, snorkeling, and fishing in the calm, clear water. The most famous of these, the “gili islands” are three small island in the northwest coast, which attract thousands of tourists annually to their idyllic shores. Equally beautiful islands lie off the southwest, south and northeast coasts and undeveloped, but are delightful for day-trips and underwater tours.
